Goddess Saraswati

Goddess Saraswati is the divine consort of Lord Brahma, who is the creator of the world. Goddess Saraswati is the Goddess of speech, art , music and knowledge. She is known world wide as the Goddess of education, many students around the world worship her to achieve their goal and success in their academic years.
As she is also the Goddess of Music, many singers particularly in India, Hindu people worship her to give them the power of pleasant voice to sing for the Hindu Gods and Goddess. Goddess Saraswati has four hands, which resembles four aspects of life.In two hands she holds Veena(A musical instrument), Some times she is seen holding Lotus in one of her hands, a book in one hand and a leaf in the other hand.

'Vasanta Panchami' is the day on which her birthday is celebrated , This day occurs on the 5th day of the lunar month. On this day people around the world, especially Hindu religion people visit Goddess Saraswati temple and seek her blessings with the power of speech and knowledge. In many regions people also grow saraswati plant, which is seen very often, It is believed that eating the leafs of Goddess Saraswati plant one per day will improve a persons knowledge and speech. 

Goddess Parvati

Goddess Parvati is also known as Shakti, who is also known an incarnation of Lord Shiva's first consort Goddess Sati, After Sati's death on the request of all the gods in the heaven , she took an incarnation of parvati to marry Lord Shiva again.
People belive that Goddess Parvati is one of the many forms of Shakti's, people refer her to be the sister of Maa Saraswati, Maa Kali, Maa Durga, Maa Lakshmi and many other forms of Goddess 'Shakti'.

As Goddess Parvati was born to the king of Himalayas(Himavat), Her name also resembles mountain, The word 'Parvati' is derived from sanskrit 'parvat' meaning Mountain. Which also suggests that she is the daughter of Himavat who is the king of Himalayas and mountains. She also has many names like Lalita, Uma, Gauri, Durga, Kali, Haimavati etc.

To marry Lord Shiva Parvati did a lot of hard work with devotion to win the love of Lord Shiva. She even performed a penance day and night without food and water and won Lord Shiva's love. Lord Ganesha and Lord Kartikay are her two sons Goddess Parvati is also being called Amba and Ambika, who refers as the mother of the Universe.

Goddess Laxmi

Goddess Lakshmi is the Goddess of wealth and prosperity. As she blesses her devotees with eternal happiness, good health and wealth. She is seen sitting (or) standing on a lotus flower and also holding two lotus buds in each of two hands which represents spiritual awakening, spiritual understanding and peace. She is the symbol of Love,beauty and happiness.
Goddess Lakshmi names is derived from Sanskrit word which means aim (or) goal. Some of her other names are daughter of ocean of milk, Padma(lotus), Padmavati and lotus bearer.

Birth Of Goddess Lakshmi :

Goddess Lakshmi was born during the churning of the milky ocean to obtain the nectar, during the churning process between the Gods and Demons with the help of a serpent on Lord vishnu who supports the mountain on him in the incarnation of 'Kurma'(Tortoise). Goddess Lakshmi appears from the milky ocean from a blossomed lotus flower shining like a millions of stars. Then she choose Lord Vishnu as her consort.

Some of the other symbols of Lakshmi are water,Gold coins,elephant and rice. She is aligned with gold as she loves beautiful jewellery and beautiful flowers. She also loves clean environment as she is dedicated to helping us to realise the beauty within our surrounding and our self. She is the symbol of luck,opportunity and eternal happiness.

Goddess Lakshmi friend - Lord Ganesha :

We often see in many photos of Goddess Lakshmi along with Goddess Saraswati and Lord Ganesha. Lord Ganesha is the remover of obstacles and protector of his devotees in danger. Lakshmi and Ganesha are good friends who work together to give good strength,light and love, who also provide support and guidance for those who are in need to attain success overcoming the difficulties in their path.
